Cosplay Contest Rules & Conditions

 Pre-Judging
  • All contestants must attend pre-judging in costume to be eligible to win.
  • Pre-judging begins at 1:00 PM, one hour before the contest starts, outside the contest location doors (exact location TBD).
  • Pre-judging is an opportunity to discuss your crafting and execution process with the judges.
  • No-shows to pre-judging will be disqualified from winning.
 Costumes
  • All participants must be in costume to participate.
  • Costumes will be judged primarily on overall craftsmanship and execution.
  • Character portrayal/performance is considered but not required to win.
  • No real weapons are permitted at any time.
 Stage Performance
  • Each cosplayer will have 10 seconds on stage to pose and deliver a single line or short performance bit.
  • Performances must be family friendly: no offensive language, nudity, or lewd behavior.
 Prizes
  • 1st Place: $125
  • 2nd Place: $75
  • 3rd Place: $50 Note: Prize amounts may increase based on event sales!
 Eligibility & Fairness
  • Previous winners may not re-enter with the same costume they have previously won with.
  • Group entries are allowed, but any prize money must be shared among group members.
  • Contest is open to all skill levels, but honesty in presenting your work is expected.
 Family-Friendly Environment
  • This is a family-friendly event. Please keep costumes and performances appropriate for all ages.
  • Any violation of this rule may result in disqualification.
